A traditional Inuit packing doll, hand made in Ulukhaktok (formerly Holman), Northwest Territories in the Canadian Arctic. A traditional toy which serves as a distinct handmade souvenir to commemorate a journey to the Arctic
Constructed by hand in wool, often by a single artisan. The doll features an animal wearing a parka and carrying a baby in it's hood. Traditional sewing techniques are used and each piece is finished by hand using natural materials (100% wool). As each doll is handmade, there are slight variations, including different colored floral details on jacket. This musk-ox with baby comes with a tan colored jacket. A true collectors item!
